I picked up the new combat patrol today, so along with most of the beast Snaggas box (not using zograd), a Boyz box, grots box, the new kommandos, Hedkrakkas Mob (converting to weird boy and 3 snakebite nobs) and a couple random minis, I have a 1,500 point army. Some upgrades are just to use up points, but it seems like a fun army.

I haven’t played with the Orks yet, but have had fun learning to play with the Blood Angels I painted over lockdown. What strategies would you recommend using an army comprised using many of the recent releases? Would you have recommendations on where I could steer the army as I flesh out my 2,000 points? I was thinking a beastboss on squigosaur and another set of Squighog Boyz.

I have a lot of painting ahead of me. My goal is to work through my pile of shame with an average of a boy a day through Orktober and a goal of finishing the 1,500 by the end of my winter break or New Years! I have not had as much time to paint since I started my doctorate program.
