friends list is offline

My origin was working wonderfully earlier today and was playing with a friend earlier. Now that i try to play with another friend my friendslist appears as offline, i have rebooted router, reinstalled twice, tried beta client, cleared temp files, cleared cashe, but nothing works. If anyone knows how to fix this it would be great.
