Aloha my lovely Oregonians, I've been to your state a few times for work and have always appreciated it's beauty and the art. I'm looking for some ideas as far as nature and can't miss sites/activities. Here's a temporary itinerary, anything you can add is appreciated. Mahalo!!
May 5th (Thursday): flying in, tacos and margaritas because I love tacos and margaritas, suggestions? :)
May 6th (Friday): Driving down to Sisters to go to the new Hop in the Spa (new beer spa because hey, I like beer and massages). Appointment is at 11am so I'm assuming around a 1-2pm departure time from the spa.
I'm looking for is something to do afterwards around in the area. I would love to do a hike that's a few miles so any suggestions would be great otherwise I see a frisbee disc course, never been to one but would love to try. I will be bringing my tent so if you have a cool place to camp this night, shoot them out there.
May 7th (Saturday): I guess where we camp will depend on what we do, we can definitely start our way back to Portland and stop some place to do a hike or see something that we shouldn't miss.
May 8th (Sunday): Meeting up with some of my former gymnasts and going to the Juanita Gorge along the river. I'm assuming I'll spend most of the day with them. Anything chill, cool ideas.
May 9th (Monday): My friend's last day off so maybe something low key and around Portland. I could potentially leave with one of my gymnasts to go to Seattle. I had a blast at the EMP museum last time and would love to see it again, if I did that, I would take the Amtrak back to Portland on Tuesday. But chill low key Monday suggestions just in case I don't do that.
May 10 (Tuesday) - May 13 (Friday). I'll be staying with my brother, his wife and 2 year old so maybe some kid friendly ideas. I will more than likely rent a car for a day so anything else around the area I can drive to for a day is good as well.
Looking forward! If anyone wants to meet up for a beer or appetizers, please don't hesitate. I love just meeting new people and talking story. I'm a 34 year old male, gay, amazing, and super friendly :)
Have a great day!
