I forget the species of orchid this is, but my wife and I were able to save it from dying (thinking it was too little water) and the white spots on the leaves are from this time. What I thought was new flowers seems like an entirely new plant since roots are growing at the base.
Problem we have is that the new plant is getting the spots on its leaves as well and we aren’t sure what’s causing it. We moved it so a shadier place but didn’t seem to help. Any advice for us?
Also, how would we care for this new plant? Is it something we leave on or should we remove it at some point and plant it by itself?
