My wife just walked out on me and her 400+ orchids. What should I do with the plants?

Post Body

I imagine this is probably not a very common theme here since you guys love orchids and probably would not willingly part with them like this, two days before Thanksgiving with turkey already thawing and grandkids waiting for it ... But life is full of surprises.

Regardless of how surprising this was in terms of our relationship, no provisions were made for the care of her 400 orchids (and other types of plants). I love plants , but I *very generously* estimate my available time and plant care skills to be enough to care for .. 20? Maybe.

So, what would you do if you suddenly had to contend with the task of doing something other than chucking them in the trash, obviously, or letting them die and *then* chucking them in the trash?

Additionally, imagine I have several dozens of various types of orchids here. Can't list them because I don't have proper stock of all of this. Which 20 would you leave in care of someone who's really pressed on time and thin on plant care skills?
