I just sent Netgear this on my support ticket. I'm so tired of them:
What in the world is taking so long!?!?
I have 26 years IT experience and 18 years coding experience. I have never taken this long to track down and fix a bug.
If a customer presented me with a bug, I would reproduce the issue and figure it out. Then I would step through my code line by line, checking all variables, etc until I found the bug and then I fixed it and released the fix after testing.
Sometimes, I would find the bug in minutes, sometimes hours. Very rarely did it take days.
I have NEVER taken this long.
NETGEAR is pathetic in every way conceivable. I no longer have any patience.
It is completely clear, based on my experience, user posts on your forums, reddit, and other forums across the internet; that NETGEAR developers and support are 100% incompetent.
