Question about driver matching/hearing loss?
Post Body

So I have already been to an audiologist, and the conclusion was that I don't have hearing loss. That being said, she did refer me to an ear/nose/throat specialist, so I am going to follow up on that some time probably, but yeah.

That aside, I noticed the Qudelix has an L/R independant setting on the equalizer, and I also noticed that when listening to a tone sweep generator, the center image would shift around quite often around the 7K region. Like drastic shifts too.

So I was thinking, can I correct this with EQ? I'm not sure how this would help my perception of image placement and such, but figured this was worth a shot?

I was attempting this earlier, but it's tricky to get the Q factor just right. Becuase if I boost too much, I might end up making the image uneven the opposite direction, if that makes sense. And while I'm at it, is it better when driver matching to boost the frequency of the quieter driver, or is it better to reduce the louder driver?

THank you!
