Are Open-Back IEMs almost non-existent due to actual acoustics issues, or is the market for them simply not there?
Post Body

I've been trying to hunt for some form of an Open-Backed IEM for a long while now. I had purchased the LCD-i3, which was totally fine, and more than open enough, but the tuning was just horrendous. And Auto-EQ could only go so far with those as well. I attempted to look for an Oratory preset for them while I owned them, but I don't think he has been given the opportunity to measure them quite yet, so that wasn' tan option either. And from what I understand, the Raptgo Hook X is another option, but that's almost it.

I've been wondering, why is this? I don't necessarily agree that the market simply isn't there for an Open-Back IEM, because most TWS on the market right now have some form of Transparency mode, which is very similar to what I'm after. So there is some demand for that feature out there, and yet there are almost no open-back IEMs to speak of at all. Why is this?
