I’m on a mission to prove to myself that you can achieve any goal you set for yourself. I set out on a mission to run a 5 minute mile before I turned 40. I was on track. I ran a 5:35 just 6 months before I turned 40. I still had lots of work to do to get there but it was going to happen. Then two big bombs hit. Covid happened and closed the world and the gyms. I also went through a messy divorce. I gave up on everything. Gained weight and lost myself. Well I’m back! Still in my 40th year for 4 more months and I’m focused again on my goal. I know I can’t get close to it in Monday’s benchmark but I’m gonna try my hardest and see how much work I have left to do. Aiming for a sub 6 min Monday. It’s amazing what our bodies can do when we push ourselves beyond our comfort zone.
