Staffing 3-4 people at the front desk during open hours

I’m curious whether staffing 3-4 people (mostly high school or college kids) at the same time at the front desk is something all studios do during open hours, or it’s just my studio. They mainly seem to be standing around, doing nothing or playing on their own phones, most of the time the studio is open 🤡. I often wonder what’s the point…
