Base pace questions
Post Body

Im trying to get better at jogging. I’ve gotten a good bit of advice but the route im taking is just to try and get my base pace to be a jog…even if that means jogging really slowly.

So lately I’ve been doing my base at like a 3.5.

What’s happens, though, is that, even at that pace, I eventually get to the orange or even red zones.

Is that ok or should I back off to walking? In some occasions I’ll just jog the whole block at like a 3.5 and not do any inclines or pushes or all outs…just work on jogging consistently for that full 23ish minutes. It’s kinda boring of course.

I guess the question is, if I get into orange, is that considered a base? I thought base was supposed to get you into the green and a push should take you to orange. But…I feel like I won’t improve my jogging and cardio unless I just do more of it.

Any advice/guidance is appreciated
