Long post ahead (sorry, didn't plan on it that way).
TL;DR - Enjoyed my first class but really sore 2 days later. How soon is too soon to go back?

I drive past an OTF location on my way to work every day and have been considering checking it out for some time now. I've been wanting for a long while to start a good routine and knowing myself and my past attempts, having a coach and/or class setting is the only way I'm really going to progress. I have most of this week off, so I decided now is the best opportunity to finally get something started!

I've been reading up on the program and lurking this sub for a bit leading up to the first Free Class, and I was excited but honestly, I was SUPER anxious about this first class. I tend to push myself sometimes too much and was afraid I would break down, or get light headed and nauseous (it's happened in the past), so I really wanted to just ease myself into the program this first time. I almost posted here beforehand just to express my anxiety, but decided to just push through.

First class was on Tuesday, and everyone was awesome! The orientation, the coach, I talked with the manager before the class, so nice and welcoming. The class? Kicked my butt! But in a good way, of course :). I made sure not to push too hard, and I think I did ok. Kept the weights on the lower side, kept my tread pace at the speed walker, but did get some jogging in. Anything to do with the steps up on the bench, or "toe taps" back down (still working on the terminology), were HARD for me, which surprised me because I always thought my legs were in good shape. I didn't feel too wiped out after the class, but now my legs are HURTING! Especially my quad muscles. Here it is Thursday and still struggling with stairs..

So I signed up, and I'm excited for my next class and beyond, but I think I should wait a little bit to recover before jumping back in. On the other hand, I don't want to wait too long... I'm thinking I'll see how I feel tomorrow and maybe try to get an evening class after work. Or, should I wait a little longer if I'm still super sore tomorrow?

Anyhow, if you made it this far thanks for reading lol!
