How bad was the “bad” areas in Anaheim and Santa Ana, or in other parts of OC in the 1980’s & 1990’s?

Post Body
Heard people talked about how some pockets of OC was just as bad as South Central LA when it came to gangs & violences.
Also seen some old videos & articles about the bad areas of OC.
For those who experienced it, was it really that bad? I’m not from OC, but visit sometimes. So it’s hard for me to picture it.

What happened to doing things that weren’t dangerous and harmless? Like throwing toilet paper in trees.

I don’t know about Ladera Ranch anymore, I had some hooligans throw a Kraft single at my car the other night. Very dangerous area if you ask me.
