Hi, Iām one of the idiots who came up Thursday feel free to ask me any questions. For context I have a 4Runner with traction boards, recovery straps, snow rated tires (at3w), a pump for air, as well as chains on my rear tires. I havenāt slipped even once and manage to dig myself out of 2 feet of snow with just pressing the gas pedal. I have a full tank of gas.
TLDR: Iām not nearly prepared enough and Iām an idiot donāt worry I know.
I didnāt look at how bad the snow was because in my mind āit canāt be that bad itās Californiaā again idiot. I know. My family is from upstate New York Iāve been in a blizzard before so I didnāt think it would ever be that bad. Idiot.
HOWEVER, all the damn corollas with 2 wheel drive and chains on the wrong axel are driving me insane. There should be a damn vehicle check before you go up. I saw a bronco driver fail to put their chains on 3 times. That should also be a test. If you canāt put your chains on and if you donāt have a car with 4 wheel drive AND good tires AND chains you shouldnāt go up. The only cars stuck that I see (for the most part) is sedans. Iām sure thereās others (I did see a Jeep) but this sucks.
Rant over TLDR #2: Iām an idiot, but I wish idiots with less capable cars couldnāt follow me into hell.
I may delete this later I expect to be flamed.
Update: I made it this morning
