I had lasik surgery maybe 15 to 17 years ago to correct far vision. after that, i had perfect far and near vision. Now, i'm getting older (i'm 53) and my near vision is getting slightly bad. I currently use 1.25 to 1.50 reading glasses. But those reading glasses ALSO make my FAR vision better. if i got contacts with 1.25 to 1.50, would this have the same effect as those reading glasses (improving both near AND far vision)? probably so, but i want to make sure before i go to a optometrist and pay something. thank you.
