Went in for a contact exam. When the doctor was looking at the picture scans of my eye (sorry unsure what kind but it seemed standard), they noted that 1) I had a thinning retina, and 2) described how usually the eye layers hold together just from being packed in there, but sometimes if they're not, the body puts "bolts" between the layers to help hold them in place. I've been googling different phrasings of this all day to try to understand & can't reach the office. Do you have any idea what this might be referring to? Thank you!!
