Iām considering getting ortho k. Iām 24 years old, dont have the money for pkr or lasik and my parents have always been opposed to surgery. I have a history of glaucoma in my family and my IOP is 19 (Iām an at risk pt for glaucoma but do not use eye drops to control the pressure).
Left eye is -6.00 Right eye is -5.50 with -0.50 astigmatism. I usually wear contacts everyday, glasses occasionally. I have super dry eyes and I work in a hospital where I need to wear a mask and my glasses fog up all the time. I also do a lot of outdoor/water activities. So I feel like ortho k would work with my lifestyle.
Down the road I would get surgery, prob 5 years later but for now I would like to get ortho k. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences on using ortho k? Would you recommend it?
