How long after my check up can I wait to get glasses?

Post Body
Sort of an odd question; I got a regular old check up back on Aug 2020. I didn't have coverage through my workplace to get glasses till recently. I have my prescription listed from my doc though
Should I go back and get a other check up to see if it's "up to date"? Or would it be fine to just get the new glasses/lenses?
