Hi all, I have an idea in my mind that I want to explore with you guys, so bear with me.
I can’t be bullish on the current market, I just can’t. On the other side, I can’t be bearish as well since I think that the current situation won’t last forever.
I can’t just sit and watch my portfolio going down and do nothing with that.
the idea:
For some stocks I feel like they bottom up.
So I really want to buy call leaps on those stocks, but if the market keep going down those leaps will lose money.
So why not buying put options and call options with long expiration date at the same time?
Scenario#1
Stock market going up, put options losing money and I am collecting profits on the call options and staying with the puts as protection for the future.
Scenario#2
Stock market going down, call options losing money and I’m collecting profit on the put options and staying with call options, since I believe in the market for the long run.
Would love to hear about your thoughts, Suggestions for stock price, expiration dates, underlying etc.
