I recently walked in on my roommate overdosed. I immediately applied nasal spray Narcan. It took 4 separate premade/packaged kits to bring buddy back. Years ago when I frequently used & surrounded myself around people in active addiction, I frequently revived people using injectable Narcan. Sometimes the prepackaged one syringe, other times the bottle where I had to draw it up myself. Back then, I think the drug being sold as heroin was #4 heroin or ECD. Fast forward to now, & from what I hear, most the stuff sold as heroin on the streets is heroin mixed with Fentanyl or Fentanyl analogs or some other RC's . The reason I came to this conclusion is bc I was in the county jail in a rehab program. The counselor told us exactly what was in clients initial drug test. It was found that most clients lacked heroin. Well I shouldn't say most actually, more like half. Now my question for you is, are ppl having to use many applications of Narcan bc the nasal spray is weaker than the injectable form or is it because what's being sold as dope is not dope but Fentanyl, Fentanyl analogs or other RC's? Or is it a combination of both? Anyone with any insight into this, please let me know! Thanks.
