Advice on pain management approach.
Post Body

I’ve been on Klonipon x4 daily Soma 350 x2 daily prescribed by psychiatrist I’ve been seeing for over 10 years. I’m shocked he gave a prescription for Soma after no luck with primary care dr. I am on a contract for controlled substances and never violated always same pharmacy never early refills etc. Do you think that my psychiatrist could legally prescribe pain medication? Long story short I attempted suicide 1/5/24 cutting both wrist and have pretty severe nerve pain. I’ve been to orthopedic surgeon then went to get a nerve damage test. They don’t want to prescribe anything yet. I’m not looking for anything super strong. Any opinions
