New here, rather impressed by what I've seen in this subreddit! Especially that guy who made rather real-ish sprawling industrial station complexes.
In a similar vein I'm seeking inspiration for city build/planning in openttd.
I've gotten really tired of the generic ugly bland sprawl that happens with 0 effort.
So I went into advanced settings an disabled town-council road building. I've been playing around with my own roads now. At least the cities now respect hills instead of absurdly applying a grid to them...
Still, looking bland. I need inspiration. Parks? Highway systems? Other uses for one-way roads? Nice bus/tram interchanges that look real--ish... Etc. Throw up your most impressive screenies or post suggestions, whatnot.
Looking forward to the unexpected!
