Etterna is a fork of the open source game StepMania. It aims to improve keyboard play. It includes things like an ingame difficulty calculator, automatic upload of scores to a stats trackign website, ingame leaderboards from that website, ingame previews of songs before playing them, replays and replay watching (Also functional for scores in the leaderboard), ingame downloads that automatically install "packs" (Collections of songs), better overall performance than the original game and much faster loading times.
