Post Body
So I've been playing around a little bit every day, but still at the noob level...that said:
I can template match a screenshot of my phone by cutting out icons from the image and can draw circles and rectangles.
But when I change to the camera as the source, and with no surprise, I'm not getting my Match.
So, to make my question easier, assume that:
- the lighting on the phone is dim or dark and constant,
- the brightness of the display has been set appropriately low enough
- the position and background of the icon I'm searching for may change
- the camera has been properly calibrated EDIT: 5. the phone is not moving around, totally sitting still
- there is no appreciable glare
Given that, what image processing is typically necessary to get a good template match from a snapshot from a camera?
