Disclaimer: I am aware that Reddit is not verified legal advice and am just looking for opinions, obviously taking everything with a grain of salt!

I was nailed in Hamilton while driving a truck that my Dad owns, he got the ticket and Iā€™m paying it. He mentioned something about being able to fight and get the fine reduced. Seeing as I am a broke uni student who would much rather spend money on the holidays rather than my stupid mistake, would it be worth fighting to get a reduced fine? As well, if I showed up to fight it, would they be able to move the charges and the ticket to my drivers record?

Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
