Eviction notice received! But what if the tenant requests to file a hearing?

Post Body

I had my tenants sign the end of tenancy (N11) a couple of months ago as they were not paying rent. Since then, he has not moved out and is planning on staying for free for the next couple of months. On the other hand, he has been threatening to kill my family so I requested the LTB to expedite the process. So we received our L3 within 3 weeks.

It says...

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before December 17, 2022.

and at the bottom of the order, it also states....

The tenant has until December 16, 2022 to file a motion with the LTB to set aside the order under s.77(6) of the Act. If the tenant files the motion by December 16, 2022 the order will be stayed and the LTB will schedule a hearing.

What will happen if the tenant tries to fill a motion with the LTB to set aside the order. My family hasn't felt safe and unfortunately we asked the police to not file charges (and now we can't go back on that statement). If they request to file a motion, how long does it take for the hearing to be scheduled and will they get to stay for extra months....

On the last note, am I supposed to hand this order to the tenants? I know they were emailed the order as well. Thank you
