Woke up this mourning to what sounded like a tub faucet on full blast pouring into the office. When I arrived the lead slowed to a few drops but it had already flooded my fiancée's side of the office. Possibly ruining or at least introducing water damage to over $500 in electronics. It is also flooded on the power outlets. I have about $5000 in electronic testing equipment including gaming pc/vr that I have covered in a tarp to avoid any more splashed. I also have a beefy PC battery backup unit there I am worried might explode as it is lithium ion. Even though the battery back up only got sprayed with some drops. Sorry I'm a little frazzled as I work nights and woke up up to this.
This is like the 10th time this neighbor has had a leak and my patients has expired. She seems to be a nice older lady, but she keeps spilling pots of water and/or having crazy baths that slosh a metric shit ton of water around. Our landlord has been up there every time, initially doing investigative demo because she was to embarrassed to admit she spilled water. I do not think she has dementia, she is living on a fixed income, possible OW so I have no idea how in the hell I would recoup the damages as in the past 2 years I have unfortunately become poor myself so these "fancy" items are all I have (material-wise), and all we have to make any kind of money on the side.
