I got summoned to Jury Duty for November 20th. I already prebooked travel plans to Atlanta the week of November 17th. I made the booking October 11th and prebook Airbnb on October 20th. The summons was mailed October 21st and I received it on October 23rd. I emailed the court ASAP for defferal, the same evening with proof of itinerary and receipt of Airbnb. I sent another email the following day with proof of my return ticket as I did not purchase before as I was midway planning my trip when the letter came.

That was on October 24th I sent the last email and I have still have not heard anything yet and I fly out next weekend on November 17th. I even went to the courthouse 2 sats later and a clerk told me to just wait on the email and there was no shortcut. But this is getting ridiculous now. I know the courts are busy or back up but does it usually take over 2 weeks? Or are they just taking their time.

I plan on going to the courthouse tommrow one more time to try to talk to someone. Does anyone know if it's possible to talk a judge or officer in person to get a defferal because this is getting frustrating. I'm doing everything I should be doing and showing proof.

I know I should be okay but would be nice to have confirmation.

What do I do if I still hear nothing before I leave?
