Hey! I am writing this post because of a sudden thought today. Growing up watching horror movies, I noticed there are always depictions of those rural roads in the US that give off an unsettling, creepy vibe at night, and it got me wondering if there are there any roads here in Ontario that are similar.
To clarify I'm interested in roads with a spooky ambiance due to their remote locations or dense forests. In those Hollywood movies it would mostly be roads going across woods or those in the middle of nowhere besides one creepy motel. It could be the perfect setting for a thrilling road trip for me! I'm interested in any suggestions you might have. Maybe it's a section of the highway that looks incredibly eerie at night. Or if you want, I would love to hear if you had any scary experiences before when driving at night on the road! I read about it a lot on Reddit but they seem to all happen in the US (i.e., roads across forests/deserts/remote areas). I have never been to the States and also new to Ontario, and I think the most remote place I have been to in a car with friend at late night is the area between Guelph and Halton Hills, so tbh I don't really have any personal experience😂.
Looking forward to hearing your stories and suggestions!
