I feel like I quite frequently see posts in this sub of creators trying to figure out how to deal with people in their DMs being rude or not buying and I want to give this universal advice: YOU SHOULD NOT BE DEALING WITH THEM AS THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY!
The majority of the people messaging you on here are trying to get something out of you for free, whether it be content or conversation. I highly recommend turning off your chat and messages on here.
If you choose to answer messages, use discretion! Never engage with rude or demanding users because they are just trying to get a rise out of you. Don't offer previews or trials, your promo sites are enough preview so work on keeping those up to date with good content!
Don't chat with redditors on reddit, many will give you a compliment in hopes of having a conversation with you with no intent of supporting your work. They will often ask to chat or get to know you, but remember this is a job and you should be compensated for your time and efforts! In my experience, people who want to sub will without being directed or told to, but you can respond to nice comments with gratitude and send your link if they want to see more if you would like. I always recommend sending the link within the first three messages and not prolonging the conversation beyond that. There is nothing rude about stating that you reserve chatting for your paying fans. I would suggest something like "You're so kind! I only chat on my onlyfans, but if you'd like to continue this here's my link."
I say all of this because what we're doing is work, and I don't want any of you putting yourself through extra unnecessary stress. Chatting with redditors who may or may not sub in the long run is a waste of your time and effort, so put it into something else! Save the energy you would expend talking reddit randos and put it into your page, whether that be chatting up your fans or sending out some ppv. Either way, make that shmoney baby!
