Posting videos/gifs to subs: I can’t work it out

So, I’m having an issue with posting videos to subs. I know girls use redgifs and imgur, but I have no idea how they get the high quality and also make it not appear as a link. Whenever I use red gifs the quality comes out terrible. Can anyone help?
