Hey all, NB creator here βΊοΈ I've been promoting on Reddit only for a while, and while I'm growing, it's slow. I want to expand by promoting on IG. (Totally SFW and non-sexualized, so they won't shadowban me - my plan is to show my musical side which hasn't come up on the other platforms thus far, with an allmylinks or something in my profile.)
My concern is not people from my personal life finding out - I know that will be jarring in ways I can't fully prepare for, but I have thought it through deeply and decided a while ago that I'm honestly totally fine with the possibility.
What I'm more concerned about is people who know my legal name finding my promotional IG and commenting with my name, which would then open the door to anyone who knows me from OF to try to use my name to find me. The nightmare scenario I have is that some distant relative of mine, old acquaintance from high school, etc - someone I didn't think to block - sees me singing and comments something intended to be sweet/supportive - "So beautiful, [legal name]!!" Thus letting the info be connected to a place my subscribers can access.
Now, I don't plan to put my IG on my OnlyFans or any other fansite. Sales funnel and all that... but also to decrease the chances of this happening.
How likely is this? Am I totally overthinking it? Does anyone know of any OF models being doxxed in this particular way, either purposefully or accidentally, by someone who knew their legal name? Is there any way I could prevent this or decrease the chances - maybe not allow comments or something? Or just watch comments like a hawk? Thanks in advance yall π
