How to avoid being banned in SFW subreddits as a NSFW creator
Post Body

Switch to a different account, then skip into the sunset, never having to waste time agonizing over this issue again and spend more time on things that actually benefit and grow your business. The end.

Before everyone gets their knicks in a twist I'll give a more long winded explanation at to why this is not a big deal.

Your nsfw account is primarily promoting your monetised business, it's likely that basically all of your posts there are indirect advertisements (ie your nudes/ selfies on nsfw subreddits are clearly an indirect way for you to funnel traffic to your profile and pay sites). How are SFW subreddits supposed to discern who is there authentically and who is there to indirectly promote their porn? It might not be your intention, but many nsfw accounts that do covertly advertise themselves in inappropriate spaces. Moderating subreddits is difficult and time consuming enough without users expecting moderators to do some sort of psychological analysis of their profile to somehow decide what category they fall into and guess their intentions. They will just point blank ban you based on the probability that you could be spamming or posting inauthenticity because you chose to post from your advertising account rather than take the very easy step to simply... not do that. They may also just feel it is inappropriate for accounts with pornographic content to be interacting in their space, that's their discretion and in my personal opinion a fair boundary to have. 9 times out of 10 they don't care that you happen to work in the sex industry, the issue is that you are choosing to post from an advertising/ business profile. If you use a profile where you're not promoting, it's not an issue. And for the ones that are just being weird sexy titty lady haters, we move.

Yes discrimination happens on all platforms, that is an unfortunate aspect of the job that we have to be prepared to absorb when we chose to partake in a controversial/ taboo industry. If it was easy, it wouldn't be as lucrative as it can be.

Is being prepared to spend 2 seconds switching to another account the greatest hardship we're facing? No, it's really not. It actually makes a lot of sense to separate your personal hobbies and interests from your advertising nsfw profile. I don't personally want my followers to work out any personal information about me or to be privy to the weird mole I posted about to see if anyone thinks it looks like skin cancer during a spate of hypochondria. These are side account antics.

Ultimately when you are primarily using a social media profile to advertise something or make monetary gains, this pretty much immediately gives you basically no legs to stand on. You are essentially operating as a business on a website that is not really intended for that. It's great that there are ways we can interact authentically and also generate income by being here on reddit. It's about respecting the balance and not wasting time stressing over issues that are not impacting your bank balance.

Bonus tip- once you have been banned from a subreddit on any account, you should never post there again on any account as this would be considered ban evasion and potentially lead to all your accounts being banned an being ip/ device banned on reddit entirely.
