Also, as I’m sure there are MANY different philosophies and approaches to any kind of sex-work, and the stigma associated with it, I’m curious about how each of you decides how open to be about it, and with whom. Have you had any stressful interactions with people finding out about what you do? Any surprisingly positive ones?
Sometimes I struggle with the idea of my neighbors and gym friends, and general community (very rural and close-knit, very Christian, very family-friendly, family-oriented) discovering I’m a sw, and you know…. sort of a Scarlet Letter situation develops or something. (That book/movie was just designed to scare young girls into being “good” and “pure,” I swear.) That fear is one of the things that has kept me from doing much promotion over the last several years, especially on sites like X and Reddit where you can’t do geo blocking, and literally anybody could be looking at your stuff. But now that I’m wanting to grow my sites more, and discovering how effective X and Reddit can be, I’m struggling between seeing the success and wanting to do more, and sometimes still feeling this sense of fear/guilt when I post photos. Does anyone else have that happen? Do you ever regret expanding your reach/ advertising?
No kids Don’t care if family finds out
The only concern is ever really work, but even then we don’t have jobs that would be threatened really by this.
So in a way we are fortunate that “leverage” can’t really be used against us.
