The only common thing to all accounts showing the mesage is that they all have custom urls nothing else. On some the link goes to link site where they need to click themselves on others it goes to link site where it then auto redirect to OF. So the only common thing is that they have custom url. But why would insta stop allowing custom urls? Or they might just have identified the final destination and trying to get sex workers out of IG?

It's definitely a very new thing. I check my links regularly... I use custom domain name that redirects to beacons which automatically redirects to OF. As soon as they click the link it should take them to OF.

Sure, just send me a private message. On the link thing, I just realized it could not be the re-direct only as I have other profiles without direct redirect to OF. I guess the last thing left is the combination of custom URL and re-direct, this is the only thing they have in common. I mean re-direct from custom link to link page or custom link direct to OF. All that all accounts have in common is the custom url which is not the same on all accounts. What is the same is custom url that re-directs to link site. I guess I have to go back to a link site only 🤷‍♀️

Do you mean that the same message was coming on your profile when people were clicking your link? Also by your description I get it that you have too many steps - custom url then link tree then beacons and at the end is your OF?

But there is the extra link, it is just re-directing automatically. It is not my OF link sitting there.

Also, I changed the link on my bio and still shows the message. So it's more that the accounts is flagged. How long did it take for you to not show this message once you changed your link in bio?

Hmm but I have the same url on other accounts where it is not showing the scam alert message. I also went viral yesterday with an account that has the message. Just not sure if it started appearing before or after I went viral.

What makes you think rerouting is the issue? Once you click the link it still goes to beacons for a few seconds and then OF.

In your case why do you have 2 links sites and not just one?

I am curious to see if other models here who did not use automatic re-routing have been flagged.

This is what I am trying to figure out. Why it has not discovered them as they are with the same link in bio? Why it's flagging some and not others? On what basis it is doing it - it is not strikes as I have the message coming on accounts that are very new and have no strikes but also it is not the link as I have accounts with the same link - some showing the message and other don't. Still can't identify a clear pattern...

Sure but I have this message coming on accounts that do not have automatic re-direct. So it is probably related to the account itself being flagged rather than links. As I pointed out I have accounts with the same link - one showing the scam message and another not - and they have the same link.

Not sure if it is relared to the custom domain or domain re-direct at all. I am having the issue on accounts with domain re-direct to OF directly and accounts that have link then another link and then OF. All are custom domains tho. Will be interesting to hear if people who aren't using custom domains are having this issue...

No, will do now. But also wanted to point that I am having this issue on accounts that do not have link re-direct so it is not the re-direct which is causing the issue. Could be a geenral assault on sex workers initiated by IG...

Seems like it. It's a recent thing that they started sending that message tho. Do oyu think I should change my custom domain or I just cancel the redirects and have a medium between my IG and OF?

Why do you think that will solve it? Btw more of my accounts are showing that message now meaning that the algo is catching up and probably based on the custom url. Still why do you think that a button click will solve it? Anyways I will try, nothing I can lose now...
