I think saying that I am beyond pissed right now is an understatement.

I started onlyfans about two/three weeks ago. I knew my parents would know about my onlyfans at some point, but I at least wanted to tell them on my own terms, because they are very disapproving of any kind of sex work, and I knew they would get quite angry with me, even though I am an adult woman, and I can do whatever I want with my life and my body.

Someone who both my parents used to be friends with, my mum not anymore, but that is a whole other story, have some kids who used to follow me on Instagram (saying used to because I have now blocked them.) That whole family is one gossipy kind of family - tell them a secret, and everyone they know and their extended families will know about your secret, it's that kind of scummy family. I knew the parents were like this, but I did not know the kids (who I used to be friends with in the past) were like this too. Those kids sent my link to their parents, and the dad of that family sent it to my dad - resulting in getting an angry phone call from my mother at midnight.

I cannot even imagine the kind of disrespect and ignorance someone must have to send an onlyfans link to the creator's parents. Absolute no regards whether the parents know or will understand. How shitty of a person do you have to be to find it fun to gossip over something like this, rather than perhaps think for a few minutes about whether you should talk to others about it?

For now I have blocked both my parents, or at least their phone numbers. Knowing my mother, she will send me a lenghty angry email about her feelings about my life, as it would not be the first time. She can be toxic at times unfortunately. I'll probably read the email, and then delete is straight away because I just could not care any less right now about what they think.

At some point I will need to have the conversation. I cannot just block them out of my life forever, I even have plans to go down to see them in about a month for my dad's birthday. How in the world should this conversation go? What should I say to them? I know I can say "I'm an adult and I can do whatever I want", but knowing they are very disapproving of this, that's just not going to do it. I really need your help here.
