Hello. I'm an American with a Canadian parent. My proof of citizenship application is in the works as we speak. If Trump wins a second term, my husband has agreed to emigrate to Canada.
So I would like some input on areas to check out that would work for a move. I have a bias towards Ontario b.c that's where my family is from and it would be easy to drive back to see people in the US. But here are my main qualifications: 1. Liberal - I am a Socialist 2. Near a reasonably big city for culture 3. Not too expensive 4. Racially diverse Signs seem to point to Ottowa...am I correct in this assumption? We live near Washington DC now so it seems similar?? Toronto seems insanely expensive. I have ruled out Vancouver and BC in general b.c it's too far from our East Coast family. I only speak rudimentary French but I would love to work on it so not ruling Quebec out. The Maritimes seem gorgeous but not sure about the political landscape.
Thanks so much for your thoughts! PS I want to move no matter what but my husband is only willing with the Trump factor.
