I've been a One Plus user for a decade. Recently upgraded from OP7 to 12. I've always used Google Photos as my photo backup option.
So far, whenever I need to clear space on my phone, I would delete photos from my phone. Those photos would be intact on my Google Photos, as intended. Deleting images from Google Photos would delete those from my phone as well. All good with that.
But in OP12, when I delete an image from the device it is also deleting the image from Google Photos, thus negating the entire point of having a backup. Every time I'm deleting a photo, it's giving me this dialog screenshot.
How to stop the device from deleting backup photos from Google Photos when I'm deleting it from device?
Furthermore I want to delete lots of from my device. But photos keep downloading from Google photos to my gallery. I have backup to Google photos option enabled. I want my device photos to backup to Google still. Also, Google keeps adding photos to my phone. I also want to be able to delete photos from my OnePlus and it not delete from Google photos.
