Post Body

Hi All!

Looking to purchase a bag for pretty much everything now that life has somewhat returned to normal. Went through tons of reviews but still undecided. Am a remote worker so heading to office happens only once per quarter.

Quite open with budget; times are hard, savings are always welcomed/spent for other gears.

Looking for something minimal looking, my daily packing needs for work is fairly little:

  • 13" MBP charger
  • Waterbottle
  • Couple of dongles airpods/qc35
  • Space for groceries ? can pack a separate bag for it

But I will be planning to use this bag for weekend trips/hand carry (both international and european budget flights)

Europeans budget flights: normally not much electronics; would be able to share 1 luggage space with SO thus not much of a concern, but she tend to overpack so better to be self sufficient.

  • 13" MBP/13" MBA (able to leave this out as well)
  • Qc35/airpods
  • clothes for trips up to a week ? - couple of tshirts, underwears, sleepwears and maybe 1 jeans. - will pack lesser if washing is possible
  • Random goodies from country.
  • Should be able to use bag for light hikes as well; waterbottles (in or out of bag, idm), snacks, lunch, jacket

International flights as handcarry another small sling for quick access to passport etc.

  • 13" MBP and 13" MBA charger
  • Switch
  • QC35
  • All the other random goodies ranging from sweets/chocs/souvenirs (bulkier items are in luggage)
  • Bag of dongles

I'm smaller-sized (5'6) so I guess the couple of bags that I've narrowed down to should fit relatively well. Unable to get these bags locally (OOS) so trying before buying is unfortunately out.

  • Evergoods CHZ 22 v2 - Gonna be troublesome getting laptops out when bag is fully stuffed and rhinohorn looks weird. not sure about comfort as it's supposed to fit quite high up? Contour seems to be less aggressive for v2.
  • Evergoods PLC20 - Liking this bag so far, but read complaints on the strap ?
  • Able Carry Daily - Liking the looks as well, but seems like it doesn't expand much due to the frame.
  • Osprey Arcane Large V2 - Looks and feels comfortable, not sure about the durability of the bag and will probably think of ways to get rid of the logo.

Also considered :

  • GR21L (Wolf Grey) - Looks awesome but ex, heavy and kinda overkill for what I'm packing (?)
  • Alpaka Elements Backpack - Does't seem like the bag is able to pack much ? and also feels kinda too long for me.
  • MR Prizefighter - OOS.

Happy to look into other bags as well :) Looking forward to your thoughts!
