So I plan on backpacking Europe next month for the summer and I need a backpack. I have narrowed it down to the farpoint 40 or the porter 46 (I’m in uk). Both seem to have pros and cons the farpoint seems to be the go to for new travellers as it is fairly light, therefore being much more mobile.
The porter 46 on the other hand is not only bigger but seems to have better organisation and layout. My main concern with the 46 is if It won’t be carry on compliant. I’ve also read reports that the 46 isn’t as comfortable to carry as the 40.
I plan on being in Europe for 3 months so I should only need summer clothes really. What bag would be better, or are there some alternatives that I should consider? As long as it’s carry on compliant.
