Vasectomy is not an option - thanks.
I'm 27 and I have booked my GP consult to discuss sterilisation. Very happy with my daughter and my partner may want to have children with a future partner. We are not sure about staying together at this point but my anxiety around pregnancy is not helping things. I have significant anxiety about getting pregnant again and I desperately want a sterilisation surgery.
Anyone under 30 in the UK with experience or advice?
I am leaning towards requesting a bilateral salpingectomy. I have had abnormal cells removed from my cervix in the past and I have a family history of cancer, it makes sense to me to further reduce my chances of unwanted pregnancy future health complications.
The nurse I booked with today seemed to think it might not be an option for me until I'm older? Which is frankly terrifying because IUDs cause me terrible pain and hormonal contraception makes me suicidal.
Looking for reassurance hopefully?
