Weird issue with ctrl and capslock

Hi all, for some reason my keyboard decided to swap the keycodes for ctrl and caps lock. Re-flashed firmware multiple times, and the hex file shows the correct keymap, but whenever I press ctrl it toggles caps lock, and vice versa.
What the hell?
Edit: It's a Preonic. Yes, I use Caps lock.
