I’ve worked at OG for 2 years as of the 26th of this month, I got hired on as a buzzer in 2022 and in June of 2023 I switched to being a server, not to toot my own horn but I was a damn good busser and a lot of servers and managers were upset because me and the other good busser who had been there even longer than me both switched to serving at the same time, they were both upset they were losing the good bussers but and happy for us for moving to the better paying job. Anyways, I enjoyed serving for a while but I am a very introverted person and as of recently I’ve started to hate serving so much and miss bussing, I haven’t tried to switch back because I definitely make more money serving. My store recently got a new district manager and she’s a total nut who isn’t at our store very often so I haven’t gotten to make a good connection, the most I’ve talked to her was because she used me as an example to one of my managers as to “why our store is waiting so much food,” because I scooped a little too much soup. Anyways that was a tangent. SO I asked my GM if I could go back to bussing because our busser team is really bad rn and he got very excited and said definitely, I said that I would need a little more than minimum wage and we agreed on a reasonable number, he asked our DM about it and she got mad and denied the raise. So boo hoo for me, I need to stay as a server, which has been draining my mental health, and I’m not really mad at her because she’s just like that and she has to do her job. I understand that the best option is just for me to find a new job which I’m doing but I’m going to miss the team so much. I could go boh which my gm has offered because he’s amazing but I’ve filled in a couple of those positions and they are not for me in the slightest. So looking at some construction jobs…
