Looking for an early 70's half-ton, reg cab, long bed "farm" truck
Post Body

Hello all, new here and thought I'd check in and see if anyone had any model recommendations, leads or barn finds they'd be willing to share!

I'm in Ventura, CA, about 50 miles up the coast from LA. I'm thinking pre-75 so I don't have to worry about smogchecks. But, I need some modern conveniences like power steering and A/C. :) So, I'd be open to newer trucks, as well.

This would be used primarily for DIY projects, our small plant and craft business and, hopefully soon, a "farm truck" for when we homestead on a remote property, yet to be found.

Oh, on condition: Mechanically sound, cosmetically challenged, but no rust or accidents. I don't mind having to restore, upgrade or replace cosmetic parts. Budget-wise, I am hoping to stay below $5000, or even under $3000, if at all possible. (I'm also seeking a complete, but total resto-candidate, like one of those $300 trucks sitting for decades. Heh heh.)

Thank you!
