I made my Nonna (grandma) a coat years ago but the colours didn't work for her, and the actual finishing of the coat wasn't as good as I can do now. She still wore it everywhere proudly.
Flash forward to this Easter when I made and gifted this coat to her for a little surprise after doing some sleuthing into what colours she would love to wear. She treasures this one even more than the last and I'm actually so proud of how it came together. She looks gorgeous and proud wearing it. A lot of the fabrics (all recycled curtains and bedsheets) have been used for pieces I've made myself too, so we can match with each other sometimes. My heart swells with happiness that she loves this piece, and she texts me constantly to tell me she's worn it out again
The colors! So beautiful and perfect for spring 🌸
