Menopause and lifestyle challenges
Post Body

This is probably way to much TMI but I am fairly certain that there are women in this group to fit my demographic of being in the middle of Peri menopause.

How do you manage your sporadic cycles and breakthrough bleeding episodes in this lifestyle? I met a fantastic third last month and when we played somehow blood was activated and I was horrified. I was not bleeding or on my cycle prior to the moment we were engaged play. It was very sporadic, likely tapped into something that activated the blood. He was so gracious about it; made me feel very at ease. In fact, he kept repeating that he didn’t mind, and that I should relax and not worry about it. He actually fetched a warm washcloths and literally helped clean up the crime scene, but as you can imagine, I was absolutely horrified. Well, fast forward to today. We have another date planned tonight and as luck would have it, I woke up this morning and bam! I’m bleeding!!!! I don’t want to cancel, but I guess I need to. I’m concerned he’s going to think I’m a total flake. Ugh!!!! I’m interested in hearing from women who are in a similar boat and face familiar biological / logistical challenges. It is very difficult to monitor and/. or anticipate the situation when you are going through menopause. It is extremely frustrating. Advice?
