Handyman with construction skills
Post Body

I’m not having much luck on Nextdoor so I’m branching out. I have casement style windows and I’d like to put a window unit in but can’t afford a lot. I’m figuring take the window panels out or take out the entire window & fill in the space. I don’t want to knock a hole in my wall, which has been suggested because I don’t want to affect the value in the house. The windows all need replaced anyway.

Any handymen in the area that might want to take this on, or would it be about the same cost to replace the window altogether? I’ve never priced a single window.

I actually hadn’t thought of that until just now. I’m in talks with my bank to get a HELOC & they said to get approved, I’d have to accept an amount higher than what I actually need. If I went the replacement window route May as well do all 6-7.

Thoughts, suggestions?
