Scammers in OKC
Post Body

I apologize if this has been posted before.

My father in law got a call saying he missed jury duty, and he has a warrant for his arrest. They want him to meet a deputy on NE 36 th street to make payment in order to take care of the matter. During the call he said he was transferred to different people to verify that this was the sheriff’s office.

He texted my wife and told her he was going to jail. I got a hold of him and told him it was probably a scam.

I called the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office at his request. As soon as I said “he received notice of a warrant via phone call” they said it was a scam. If you have a warrant they will not give you a heads up.

I am posting this so others can look out for their loved ones who may fall for this.
