I understand that part but from a purely writing perspective it's awful lol.
Bonus: Even from a capitalist perspective it's kinda shortsighted as it can inversely hurt long-term sales/readership and lead to more closed doors and cancelled deals if your base gets pissed enough. You wanna leave those doors open and get some big name studios interested in adaptations and stores interested in merch, your series sucking long-term can genuinely make you less in the long run but maybe faster and maybe that's the actual point?

Romance Manga: Umm AcKTUaLLy we need 400-600 issues to tell this super deep story where nothing happens for 90% of it.
For example-
Monster: 162
Vagabond: 327 (it's essentially at it's end)
Literally in what world do you need or what necessitates like 400 chapters especially when the plot is barely moving? It's insanity. I love romance manga but holy hell the pacing is astronomically awful.
