Hi, I'm from Spain and I'm graduating (mechanical engineering) in a year and a half. Lately I've been really dreaming about the idea of working on the oil fields in the US or Canada. From what I've seen the pay is good, and I believe I can get a job with no experience as a floorhand or a welder-helper. My question is: do you think it is a smart idea or should I try other things instead? Could I get a job easily being a foreigner? I want to work for 1 to 2 years so I can make some good money and pay for my masters. I've been working my ass off in the airport for two years so I believe I can take hard work. Also I have a welding certification so I have some good experience welding aswell.
Thank you, and sorry for my bad English!
I didn't get anything!

Ty so much I would really want to try and work as an engineer there but I don't know if I would get much hands-on work or outdoors work which is what I'm going for since I would work for only 1-2 years there.
Thanks again for replying! :D
